New Technology Use Of Voip Business Phone System

Voice of Internet Protocol or VoIP business phone system is a term for transmission technologies for voice communications over IP networks such as the Internet.  This new technology allows the use of a computer to send your voice as well as your picture in real time to another computer.  A notable implementation is the Skype network.  The technology of holding meetings, visiting with your children long distance has improved so that the average person is easily able to be "in touch". A major development starting in 2004 has been the introduction of mass-market VoIP services over broadband Internet access services, that subscribers make and receive calls just as they would over public switched telephone networks.

Dedicated VoIP phones are phones that allow VoIP calls without the use of a computer.  Instead they connect directly to the IP network such as Wi-FI or Ethernet.  The usually require service from a service provider. A soft phone or Internet phone is a piece of software that can be installed on a computer that allows VoIP business phone systems calling without dedicated hardware.  This technology is becoming increasingly common for telecommunications providers.  It is used over dedicated and public IP networks to connect switching stations and to interconnect with network providers.

Many companies are looking at the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) that can be merged with Internet technologies with the mobile world, using VoIP infrastructure.  We will be able to upgrade the existing systems while embracing Internet technologies such as the Web, email, IM and video conferencing.  This telephone technology will also allow existing VoIP business phone systems to interface with the conventional PSTN and mobile phone networks.  This type of phone will reduce monthly phone cost to businesses and create better communications in phone calls, faxes voice mail and e-mail.  Web Conferences and much more can be delivered by handset including cellphones.

The prices are less on VoIP business phone system extensions than for PBX and key systems.  These devices have simple user interfaces so users can often make simple system configuration changes.  It will be easy to move between an outside cellular service and as internal WI-FI network, so that it is no longer necessary to carry both a desktop phone and a cellphone.  Maintenance also becomes simpler and cheaper.  Skype, which marketed itself as a service among friends and families has begun to cater to businesses, providing free-of-charge connection between users on the Skype network and ordinary PSTN telephones for a small charge.
